‘The Secret’ What Secret? – Self Help Myths Part1
There are a lot of self help gurus, motivational speakers and products online and off selling their ‘secret of life formulas’ for the millions of people seeking solutions to life’s myriad of personal, financial, social, spiritual challenges and obstacles. The book and DVD ‘the secret’ has sold millions of copies worldwide offering another ‘secret to success formula’ to a hungry audience seeking answers to the many questions life poses. Yet, in reality it is simply another contribution to the self help hippie movement in which authors make millions teaching theories which are either incomplete or don’t work. The age old coveted secret it claims to have revealed to the world is that ‘Thoughts create things & what you focus on becomes reality’!
The idea that what you focus on in your mind can become reality is no great secret! The DVD and book ‘the secret’ haven’t revealed anything that popular religions and philosophies such as Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Mystic schools have taught to their devotees for centuries! The difference is that these ancient systems teach what ‘the secret’ seems to miss, is that ‘positive focus coupled with continuous action and devotion’ is the secret to success. Even children unconsciously understand that the secret to success is to ‘start, learn from mistakes, and continue until they achieve their goal. Take walking or talking for example; children will make thousands of mistakes and face thousands of obstacles and continue to learn and perfect until they master how to walk or talk. They do not simply sit and will to walk or talk in the hope that one day they may get up a walk or talk miraculously! They act continuously, diligently with the confidence that they can achieve. Now, the children’s success secret works! The billions of people around the world who speak and walk include you and are proof of the efficacy of this ancient formula. What is a greater source of reference than our own experience! However, most of spent so much time looking for solutions from motivational speakers, self help gurus and others that we forget that many of the solutions that we are seeking are already within us. If we simply take the time to focus on our successes and not some one else’s sensationalised secrets then perhaps many of others would not end up being disappointed by another self help myth/secret. The only real secret in life is your inner self power! Study your own successes and see what the key ingredients were that made you successful at that point in time. If you can do that you will have your own personal proven model of success which is greater than any self help gurus ‘secret’. Find your inner power and the real secret of your success!

Instant Gratification - The natural drug addiction
How many of you are seeking the quick fix to life's challenges and obstacles? How many of you are looking for a instant cure to your finacial or social ailments. I guess most of us are! Self help gurus earn millions selling us instant cures. The thing is that the vast majority don't work. Why? Our lives are shaped by time! We must grow. We are not born as strong, healthy, fit adults. We are born as needy, hungry and fragile children. We struggle to enter the world so should we think that we won't have to struggle now. It is a fantasy to buy into the myth that you can have everything tomorrow if you simply close your eyes and wish hard enough for it or follow some bogus secret that half the planet has been sold. It is absolutely nonsense. Yet as seekers of instant gratification we all fall for the promises of immediate solutions or instant pleasure which doesn't exist in reality. The vast majority of highly successful people have worked damn hard to achieve the level of success that they now enjoy. They are probably ten more focused and determined their goals than most of us claim to be. They work day and night as slaves to their dreams not allowing time or obstacles to block their progress. This is the real truth that our success takes alot of work and discipline. Our success will not be found in quick fix formulas or get rich schemes. If that was so we would all be successful. Instant gratification is instant! It has a short shelf life and then back to reality. We have to build strong foundations before we can achieve any ounce of success whether it is wealth creation, relationships, spirituality it takes time. So beware of your desire for instant gratification as it can cause you to waste more time in the quest to fulfill it than it can helping you to attain success. Instant gratification is that thing which hinders much of mankinds progress will you continue to allow it to hinder you.

Motivational Poem - Beware of Complacency
The Little Motivational Poem with a lot of Motivation – Complacency
Beware of the curse of complacency,
It kills the best of relationships,
Destroys the greatest of ambition,
Cripples the most proactive of individuals,
Eradicates passion
Inspires the greatest excuses,
Reduces your wealth and riches,
Weakens a devoted soul
Makes flaccid strong muscles
Blunts the blade of intellect
Chills a warm heart
Beware of the curse of complacency,
Complacency the medusa,
Whose head you must severe,
Before her power turns you to stone
